Sleeving restores the turret you own for $22,300 at our published price, in 2–3 days, done in place. Replacing it with a new Amada assembly means a 12–16 week lead time, then 4–5 days of teardown, rigging and OEM installation.
Sleeving wins when the machine is sound and the stations are simply worn. Replacement wins when the turret plate is cracked or damaged beyond bore wear. Both cases are set out below.
The machine runs well and the complaint is hole quality, punch misalignment, burring, broken tooling or excessive tool sharpening. That is bore wear, and bore wear is exactly what sleeving fixes — in days instead of months.
The turret plate itself is cracked, impact-damaged or distorted rather than simply worn. Sleeving restores a bore; it cannot repair a broken casting.
The ram, frame or drive is worn out and the control is obsolete. At that point you are rebuilding the whole machine, and our complete overhaul or a different press is the honest recommendation.
